The Influence of the COVID-19 Pandemic on the CSR Practices in the Romanian Banking Sector

Abstract The COVID-19 pandemic has rapidly changed the Romanian banking sector, which was forced to adapt digital technologies and provide accessible services for all kinds of custsomers. corporate social responsibility practices evolved during pandemic, from general causes more targeted initiatives, banks offering innovative solutions fight against health crisis. present paper provides a good insight in before crisis, exploring best most representative terms total assets. investigation covers five years, 2017 2021, based on content analysis sustainability reports sample. data processed through MAXQDA software, revealing clear correspondence between theoretical concept sustainability: Profit – People Planet. qualitative completed by quantitative questionnaire applied sample 344 respondents. comparative outlines moral implications unique environment, considering balance individual clients/employees profit dimension responsibility. focuses recovery stages sector after critical point restriction measures, emphasizing clients’ perceptions attitudes towards banking, as form care pandemic. responses were examined using sequential mixed-methods approach, suggesting an amplified economic services.
